The civil construction sector advanced 1.1% in the third quarter of 2022, growth greater than the Brazilian GDP itself – which increased just 0.4% in the same period. The data was published by the Government of Brazil, which also pointed out that, on an annual basis, the market also outperformed the national economy, since, when comparing the first three quarters of 2022 with the same period last year, civil construction had a jump of 8.2%, while the country only 3.2%. The analysis shows that the industrial segment contributed most to the high performance of the market.
For Emerson Lima, Sales Director at ARGO, the construction sector presents an advantageous acceleration for this market, both directly and indirectly. “The number of projects and projects under construction and delivered last year was more than 5 buildings, including commercial and residential buildings. This proves that the sector is growing in demand and responsibility, in line with the needs of society and the construction market. In this sense, it is possible to see that projects are a great way to invest and also acquire your own property”, highlights Lima.
Financial investment trend and convenience
A survey carried out by the Brazilian Association of Real Estate Developers (Abrainc) in partnership with Brain Inteligencia Estratégica shows that 71% of the 14 thousand Brazilians interviewed intend to choose a property based on its economy and the convenience it offers. Furthermore, 57% of participants state their preference for homes that provide spaces that are more airy and integrated with nature.
Emerson explains that, in Espírito Santo, this trend towards greater convenience, practicality and open air in projects also contributes to the construction sector's prominence on a national scale. “Our projects aim to provide a higher quality of life, they are units close to the beach and with great infrastructure around them, in addition to allowing you to carry out outdoor activities and also have a privileged view of the sea, directly from your property. Furthermore, living just a few meters from the beach, in a region like Jockey de Itaparica, guarantees residents greater convenience and proximity to essential establishments, such as supermarkets and pharmacies”, comments Emerson.
